NFL Season Preview: AFC North

AFC North:

Steelers (2010: 12-4) (Proj. 13-3)- The Steelers, Patriots, Ravens, Packers and a handful of other teams fall into a group called the N.C.S.T.L.W.E.U.B.Y. group also known as the Nothings Changed So The Lockout Won’t Effect Us Boo Yah group. These teams have an advantage over teams in transition (new head coach, gameplan, etc) because they have the same core of players in the same system. The Steelers were really good last year and they’ll be really good again

Ravens (2010: 12-4) (Proj. 12-4)- The Ravens and Steelers are arguably two of the top three teams in the NFL and with some luck the Ravens could definitely knock off the Steelers. Either way, they’ll both be in the playoffs. Flacco will only get better and he has weapons. Chainsaws

Browns (2010: 5-11) (Proj. 8-8)-
Second straight third place team that I gave a better projected record than they deserved. Don’t know why, because there’s nothing that really shows that they’re going to be any good. 5-11 last year shouldn’t equal 8-8 this year, but who knows? Maybe Peyton Hillis won’t demand a trade in week three for no apparent reason due to the fact that he hates Cleveland and knows it sucks. The official reason for his trade will be because the helmets are orange and the team is called the Browns and that’s “really retarded”. His words not mine

Bengals (2010: 4-12) (Proj. 3-13)- Even if Carson Palmer was the quarterback they would stink. Much like their fellow Andrew Luck competition, the Bengals will be kicking field goals for the other team, punting the ball backwards and refusing to trade their retired quarterback for a good draft pick along with good players. Trying to lose won’t be tough for the stupid Bengals
